MILLSBORO, DE – The Monmouth University bowling team wrapped up the fall portion of its schedule at the Eastern Shore Hawk Classic Invitational in Millsboro, DE over the weekend.
MU went 5-8 over the three-day event hosted by Maryland Eastern Shore, facing off against numerous ranked teams to close out their fall slate. The team went 2-3 in Baker play on Friday, falling to #8 Fairleigh Dickinson, #12 Sacred Heart, and #23 LIU. The squad posted a 1-4 record in traditional matches on Saturday, with all losses coming to ranked opponents (#6 Sam Houston State, #11 Duquesne, #13 Mount St. Mary's, and #25 Adelphi). Monmouth won two of its three matches in the championship round on Sunday, earning an overall finish of 12
th place.
Jenna Lehrer led the Hawks in traditional play on Saturday, placing 26
th out of 95 total bowlers at the event. The sophomore achieved a total pinfall of 976 over five matches, setting a new season high. She also posted two 200+ games including a high game of 216.
