BRONX, NY – The Monmouth University men's and women's swimming teams opened the road portions of their dual meet schedules against Fordham on Friday afternoon at Messmore Aquatic Center.
Fordham came away with victories in both men's and women's competition. Three Hawks won multiple events as
Cole Dyson secured wins in the 200 and 500 freestyle,
Callan Smith placed first in the 100 and 200 backstroke and Alexandra Ho took first in the 50 and 100 freestyle. Ho also was part of the women's winning 200 free relay.
Camryn McHugh, Maggie McMillan and
Dean Beyer also added individual wins for the Hawks.

Callan Smith had a pair of first-place finishes in the 100 back (51.90) and 200 back (1:51.09). Smith increased his career victories total to 60 and has five wins this year.

Cole Dyson won the 200 free (1:44.22) and 500 free (4:44.22) to give him three individual wins this season and four in his career. Both of Dyson's times were new personal best performances.

Dean Beyer won his first-career race when he hit the wall in the 1000 free in 9:46.91.
- Alexandra Ho won two races for the second straight meet as she won the 50 free (24.69) and 100 free (53.97). Ho has reached 20 career first-place finishes.
- Camryn McHugh has 42 career individual wins and two this season after taking the top spot in the 200 back (2:05.84).
- Maggie McMillan won her first-career race when she placed first in the 400 yard IM with a time of 4:55.18.
- Monmouth's women won the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:41.25 as Alexandra Ho, Katie Parker, Camryn McHugh and Corinne Pepper combined for the win.
- Fordham's men scored 18 additional points in diving.
- Fordham's women added 16 points in diving events.
- Fordham's women were picked third in the Atlantic-10 preseason poll.
