WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ – Monmouth University Head Softball Coach
Shannon Salsburg has announced the team's 2020 schedule, which begins on February 14 in Florida. The Hawks are coming off back-to-back MAAC Regular Season & Tournament Championships and NCAA appearances.

For the third consecutive season, Monmouth will open at the Madeira Beach Tournament, facing Mercer, Presbyterian, Purdue, Southern Illinois, South Dakota, and Georgia State over the weekend.

The Hawks will then compete in Georgia Southern's Eagle Round Robin Tournament, facing the host, Maryland, Furman, and Evansville.

On the weekend of February 28 into March, Monmouth travels to South Carolina to play in the Coastal Carolina Invitational. Games with Maryland Eastern Shore, Coastal Carolina, Ohio, and USC Upstate are scheduled.

Two tournaments in the DMV will follow, including the George Washington Tournament from March 6-8 and George Mason's Cherry Blossom Classic from March 13-15.

Monmouth's first home game will take place on Wednesday, March 18 against Hofstra. The teams will meet for the first time since the 2003 season.

The Blue & White open MAAC play on Sunday, March 29 at Quinnipiac. Monmouth has won 12 straight games in the series, including two wins last season led by
Alyssa Irons' 12 shutout innings.

Three straight home series will follow, including a single game against Columbia on April 1 and doubleheaders against Manhattan and Saint Peter's on April 4 and 5, respectively.

The 2020 MAAC Championships will run from Wednesday, May 6 to Saturday, May 9, hosted by the #1 seed.
