SCORING OUTBURST
Monmouth scored its most points of the season with 94 at Iona, 12 more than the previous high this year of 82 against Canisius. It marked the most points for the Hawks since scoring 98 in the MAAC quarterfinals against Quinnipiac last season. Monmouth also netted 14 three pointers, the most of the season, in the win. It was the most threes MU has made in a game since March 2017 in the NIT against Ole Miss, making 16.
POSITIVE ASSIST-TURNOVER
After posting a +9 in assist-turnover ratio in the win at Iona, Monmouth is now a positive for the season in the category. At Iona, MU went for 16 assists and seven turnovers, tied for the lowest amount of turnovers this season.
FOUR-GAME WINNING STREAK
The Hawks are on a four-game winning streak, tied for their longest of the season. Last season, MU went on three separate four-game win streaks. A win over Saint Peter's would make this Monmouth's longest winning streak since the program record 17 in a row to end the 2016-17 regular season in addition to a MAAC quarterfinal win.
MCCLARY'S CAREER RUN
Marcus McClary has posted his first two career double-doubles in the last four games, including a pair of 11 rebound games, and has scored in double figures in all four for the first time in his career. The 11 rebounds is a career best, six more than his previous career high that he had accomplished six times. He notched a career best six made field goals at Manhattan while tying a career high vs. Niagara with three steals.
SALNAVE APPROACHING 1,000
With teammate Deion Hammond recently having reached the mark, Ray Salnave is 26 points shy of becoming the 44th Hawk to reach 1K and the 25th at the DI level. If he can get there tonight at SPU, he will tie Monmouth Hall of Famer Corey Albano as the 10th fastest to reach the mark.Â
