2019-20 (R-Junior): Named to All-MAAC Second Team… Earned NABC All-District Second Team honors… Named MAAC Player of the Week on December 16… Started 27 games and played in all 31… Led Monmouth in steals with 45 and free throws made-attempted at 133-157… Ranked second in threes made (51), rebounds (4.5rpg), and assists (98) and points per game (14.5)… Finished seventh in the MAAC at 14.5 points per contest while his 450 total points was fifth in the league… Placed eighth in the MAAC in assists per game at 3.2, fifth in total steals and fourth in the conference in free throw percentage at 84.7… Notched double figures in scoring in 26 of 31 games… Opened season with 15 points in win at Lehigh (11/5)… Went for 20 on 7-10 shooting at Kansas State (11/13)… Netted 21 at Princeton with seven rebounds, including game-winning three at buzzer (12/10)… Followed that with second consecutive game-winner vs. Albany in a 19-point outing (12/21)… Opened MAAC play with 20 points at Siena (1/3)… Shot 8-12 from the field in 23-point night vs. Canisius, including four threes and seven rebounds (1/10)… Made 10 free throws in 20-point showing vs. Marist (1/16)… Posted first career double-double vs. Niagara of 16 points and 11 rebounds while going 11-11 from the free throw line (1/24)… Poured in 21 points in win over Rider, including an 11-12 mark from the line while scoring his 1,000th career point (2/2)… Posted career high 34 points against Fairfield, making first seven shots and scoring 23 first-half points en route to career highs in field goals made with 12 and threes with five (3/4).
2018-19 (R-Sophomore): Led Monmouth in scoring at 11.9 points per game… Also topped the Hawks with 95 assists… Those numbers listed him 16th in the MAAC in scoring and 10th in assists… Shot 76.8 from the free throw line, best on MU and seventh in the league… Listed 10th in the conference in steals… Played in 34 games, starting 29 of them… Went for 16 at Colgate on 6-for-12 shooting (11/9)… Followed that with another 14 points at St. Joseph’s (11/12)… Added nine rebounds with 12 points against Princeton (11/24)… Led the Blue and White at Kentucky with 14 points (11/28)… Exploded for consecutive games of 22 and 25 points, only coming off the floor for one minute in two games at Hofstra and Albany (12/5-8)… Poured in 17 points in win at Penn, including game-tying free throws late in regulation and baskets to put MU up twice in the final minute, plus the game-winner with less than two seconds to go (12/31)… Posted 21 points and seven rebounds, including game-tying layup in closing seconds to force OT at Quinnipiac (1/10)… Sparked a string of six straight double-figure efforts, including 19 against Iona that included game-winning floater with under a second to go (1/20)… Went for 18 points, nine rebounds and nine assists in regular-season closing win at Manhattan (3/1)…Poured in 20 and 19 in first two MAAC Tournament wins (3/7-9).
2017-18 (R-Freshman): Played in 30 games, starting 16 in his first season in the Blue and White… Finished fourth on the team at 9.8 points per game… 39 steals ranked second on the Hawks… Averaged 11.1 points per game in conference play… 49 assists ranked second on MU… Scored in double figures 12 times, nine of them in conference play… Opened career with six points against Bucknell in an opening night start (11/10)… Notched first double-digit effort at Lehigh (11/14)… Had 14 points and eight rebounds in four overtime game vs. Penn (11/25)… Scored 18 points in win over Albany (11/27)… Dished out season-best five assists at Madison Square Garden vs. Kentucky (12/9)… Scored in double figures in seven of nine games between 1/19 and 2/13… In that stretch, scored 16 first-half points vs. Iona (1/19)… Had 15 points, six rebounds in win over Marist at Nassau Coliseum (1/27)… Had season-high five steals at Manhattan (2/10)… Scored season-high 21 points in win over Saint Peter’s, going 12-14 from the foul line (2/13).
2016-17 (Freshman): Did not see action as a true freshman.
HIGH SCHOOL: Under head coach Ron Naclerio, Salnave helped Cardozo to back-to-back city PSAL championship games, including winning a title as a sophomore. He earned All-City accolades in both his sophomore and junior seasons. As a sophomore, the guard hit two free throws at the Barclays Center with 2.5 seconds remaining to lead the Judges to a title over Jefferson. Overall, Salnave scored 16 points and contributed four rebounds and four assists in the contest. In the 2015 title game against Wings Academy, Salnave scored 11 points. Statistically, Salnave averaged 15.3 points per game as a junior in addition to over six rebounds and nearly four assists per contest while shooting close to 70% from the foul line. In his title-winning sophomore campaign, Salnave posted an impressive 18.1 points per game with three boards and three assists while knocking down over 76% from the charity stripe.
