WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ-Â Monmouth University's women's lacrosse team has been named as an Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Zags Sports Academic Honor Squad for earning a team grade point average over a 3.0, the organization announced recently.

Rachel Mills (Denville, NY/Morris Catholic),
Nicole Ceraso (Massapequa, NY/Plainedge),
Chloe Novak (Landsdale, PA/North Penn),
Allison Turturro (Sound Beach, Y/Miller Place),
Sarah Gillogly (Edgewater, MD/South River) and recent graduates
Emma Stukenberg (Ellicott City, MD/Marriotts Ridge),
Riley Brager (Reisterstown, MD/Roland Park Country), and
Monica Cortes (Miller Place, NY/Miller Place) were named to the Academic Honor Roll. Brager, Cortes, and Stukenberg all earned the academic honors a season ago. Head Coach
Jordan Trautman's squad set a school record by placing nine on the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll, eclipsing the old record of five players achieved in 2018.
To be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must be a junior, senior or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater.
The Hawks are coming off of a 12-6 regular season and second seed in the MAAC Tournament. Ceraso was named MAAC Offensive Player of the Year while Mills took home Midfielder of the Year honors. The 12 wins were the most in the regular season since the 2008 campaign while boasting the conference's top offense in terms of goals per game and points per game.
