Riley Brager (Reisterstown, MD/Roland Country Day) has been named Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week, league officials announced Monday afternoon.

Brager led the Hawks to a 1-1 week, amassing 25 saves in two contests for the Blue & White. In Wednesday's game against Wagner she saved 17 shots, one shy of her career-record. In Monmouth's 11-10 win over George Washington on Saturday, the Reisterstown, MD native had eight saves. She had a 10.00 goals against average and a .556 save percentage on the weekend.

The Hawks are tied for first in the MAAC with a 5-3 record. Monmouth will host Central Connecticut State on Wednesday at 1 PM before opening up league play against Niagara on Saturday. The game against the Blue Devils will air on ESPN3.
