SOFTBALL SIGNS THREE TO NLI’S FOR 2020

WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ – Monmouth Softball Head Coach Shannon Salsburg has announced the addition of three student-athletes for the 2020 season. Taylor Gillis, Kylie Gletow, and Riley Riendeau, have all signed a National Letter of Intent to join the program next year.

"I am excited to add Taylor, Kylie, and Riley to our softball family," said Salsburg. "All three have played at elite levels and have shown the commitment and discipline needed to succeed both on and off the field. I'm thrilled they decided to be Hawks and can't wait to watch them grow during their four years with us."

Gillis is a 5'7 outfielder from Hockessin, DE. She currently attends The Charter School of Wilmington, and plays for the club team Delaware Cobras. In her first three years of high school, Gillis earned three straight First Team All-Conference and Third Team All-State honors.

Gletow is a 5'5 pitcher from Flemington, NJ who has played three seasons at Hunterdon Central Regional High School. The righty has compiled a 52-13 overall record so far, with an ERA of 1.65 during that span. In her junior year, she went 21-3 with a career-best 1.27 ERA. At the plate, Gletow has registered a .369 career average with 72 hits, 53 RBI, and six home runs. A three-time First Team All-Conference honoree, she will begin her fourth year as a varsity starter in 2019.

Riendeau is 5'9 infielder from Lincoln, RI. She's a four-year varsity infielder for Lincoln High School, who offensively and defensively led the team to two state playoff appearances during her freshman and sophomore year. Riendeau batted .400 with two home runs as a freshman, batted .650 as a sophomore with 39 hits, and had an average of .570 as a junior. In addition to her high school team, she plays for Polar Crush Gold National.

Before the trio makes their way to West Long Branch, the 2019 Hawks will begin their season on February 15 in Florida.
