WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ – The Monmouth University field hockey team, the 2018 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Regular Season and Tournament Champions, will travel to face William & Mary in the opening round of the 2018 NCAA Tournament, Wednesday, November 7th. The winner will advance to take on the number one overall seed University of North Carolina on Friday, November 9th.
Monmouth, winners of five straight, claimed its third MAAC Title in program history with its 2-1 win over Fairfield earlier today. Sophomore

Josephine van der Hoop, who finished the tournament weekend with six points (2 g, 2 a) and freshman
Annick van Lange.
William & Mary (11-7) punched its ticket by stunning No. 14 Delaware in overtime in the CAA finals. Estelle Hughes scored the game-winning goal in the 74th minute to secure the Tribe's first conference title. Hughes leads W&M offensively with 30 points on 12 goals and six assists, while Woodard Hooper is tied with team-lead with 12 goals.
