Georgia Garden Bachop earned first team accolades, the organization announced Monday. Garden Bachop, who named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Player and Offensive Player of the Year along with the MAAC Championships Most Valuable Player, makes her first ever appearance on the regional team and is now eligible for All-American status, which will be unveiled on December 4th.
Garden Bachop became the sixth Hawk all-time to be named a conference player of the year and fifth player to be named the offensive player of the year. The forward made her second consecutive appearance on the All-MAAC First Team and was a unanimous selection this year. Garden Bachop produced her best season in a Monmouth uniform, posting career high in goals (18), game-winning goals (7) and points (41), all league-best marks. Her 41 points lands tied for fourth all-time in a single season in program history. A four-time MAAC Offensive Player of the Week honoree, Garden Bachop finished the year fourth nationally in goals per game (1.13) and sixth in points per game (2.56).
Monmouth captured its fifth-straight MAAC Regular Season Title and the MAAC Tournament Championship, making the program's third appearance in the NCAA Tournament.
