RIVERDALE, NY –  The Monmouth University men's and women's swimming teams each earned critical conference victories on Saturday afternoon at Fieldston High School.

The women's team defeated both Manhattan and Siena, while the men's team knocked off its lone opponent, Manhattan. The men moved to 6-1 on the year, while the women improved to 4-4.

Freshmen Callan Smith and Camryn McHugh continued their dominance as each won three individual races and were part of winning relay teams. Smith broke his team record in the 1,000 free and McHugh set a new team record in the 100 fly.

NOTES & QUOTES
"Today was an exciting day for the swimming program. The team came ready to compete and their focus showed right from the start. Wins in both medley relays set the tone for the entire meet. The early momentum carried the team throughout and gave us a big enough lead on the scoreboard that we just needed to be safe with our starts on the last relay."
- Monmouth head coach Matt Nunnally

- Freshman Camryn McHugh won three races (100 back, 200 back, 100 fly) to increase her season total to 16 individual wins. McHugh finished the 100 back in 58.92 and the 200 back in 2:09.38.
