NEWARK, NJ – The Monmouth University men's and women's swimming teams closed their regular season schedules on Saturday afternoon. The women's side swam in a dual meet against Sacred Heart, while the men's team met the host NJIT.
Gabby Cabaron and Anne Skimmons each won two events to lead the women's team's effort on the afternoon.

- Senior Anne Skimmons placed first in the 200-yard IM (2:18.96) and the 1000-yard freestyle (11:02.42) to win her sixth and seventh races of the 2017-18 season.
- Freshman Gabby Cabaron won the 50-yard freestyle (25.63) and the 200-yard breaststroke (2:33.45). The victories marked Cabaron's fifth and sixth triumphs of the 2017-18 campaign.
- Skimmons and Cabaron were part of Monmouth's winning 200-yard freestyle relay along with Bradie Keelen and Mary Emich. The group finished with a time of 1:42.81.
- Krysta Garcia set a new personal-best time of 11:08.42 in the 1000-yard freestyle.
- Garcia also set a new personal record in the 500-yard freestyle (5:26.91).
