NOTES AND QUOTES

“We left 25 runners on base today. We are doing a great job of working on, now we need to get back to trusting our process and having great team at bats to score more runs. We have four games to refocus on this before our final regular season games Sunday.” - Monmouth head coach Shannon Salsburg

-In game one, Monmouth got on the board first in the top of the fourth. Rachel Shotzbarger hit a leadoff double, but was later out at the plate. Higa singled home Tyranny Royster, and Chloe Howerth reached on an error that scored Deangie Jimenez.

-Siena answered with four runs in the bottom of the fourth. The Saint hit two two-run home runs in the inning to take the 4-2 lead. Neither team would score for the rest of the game as Siena took the game one win.

-In the second game of the doubleheader, the Hawks once again scored first. After Howerth walked to lead off the game, she was brought home by a Justene Reyes double down the right field line.

-Rosado gave Monmouth the 2-0 lead as she reached on a fielder's choice, with Morgan Balderas scoring.

-Siena got a run back in the bottom of the first with an RBI double to center field. In the bottom of the third inning, the Saint scored three runs to take the 4-2 lead.

-Monmouth tied the game in the top half of the fourth, as Higa launched her first home run of the season to left field and Howerth scored on an error.

-Each team scored one run each in the bottom of the fourth and top of the fifth inning to knot the game at five. Higa picked up another RBI by singling home Royster.

-In the bottom of the fifth, Siena rattled off six runs to take the 11-5 lead. With two outs, the Saints hit a grand slam to center field.

NUMBERS CRUNCH

-Rosado led the team with four hits in seven at bats on the day.
