NOTES AND QUOTES
"I love how we played today. The team played loose and was the aggressor in every phase. Amanda did a nice job of keeping their batters off-balance. Offensively, we had runners in scoring position all day long, which put a ton of pressure on them. It was a great team win today." - Monmouth head coach Shannon Salsburg
-Monmouth started the scoring early, going up 1-0 in the top of the first inning from a Rosado bases-loaded walk. The base on balls scored Justene Reyes, who walked earlier in the inning.
-The Hawks added four runs in the top of the fourth inning. With the bases loaded, Alex Holzman extended the Monmouth lead to 2-0 with a walk.
-With the bases still loaded, Rachel Shotzbarger hit an RBI groundout to score Morgan Balderas.
-Rosado picked up her third RBI of the afternoon shortly after, hitting a two-RBI single to score Holzman and Tyranny Royster.
-After the Seawolves got on the board in the bottom of the fifth, Baron launched a home run to center field to give Monmouth the 6-1 advantage in the top of the seventh.
