WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ – Six different Hawks scored, including multi-goal games from
Elyssa Okken,
Josephine van der Hoop,
Georgia Garden Bachop and
Mallory Kusakavitch, as the Monmouth University field hockey team topped visiting LIU Brooklyn, 10-1, Friday afternoon on So Sweet A Cat Field. The Hawks, who matched a program-best goal output in a single game, improve to 10-3 on the season and 2-1 in league play with the victory.
Monmouth, which outshot the Blackbirds 29-1, scored seven times in the opening half. van der Hoop and Kusakavitch both scored their two goals in the first 35-minutes, while Okken and Laszlo also found the back of the cage to allow the Hawks to go into the break with the comfortable seven-goal lead.
Okken scored 47 seconds into the second half to continue the offensive attack until LIU Brooklyn got on the board in the 40th minute. Garden Bachop scored twice over a five-minute span to cap off the off scoring.

- Garden Bachop, who ended the day with five points with two goals and an assist, posted her second multi-goal game of the season, while adding an assists for a career-high five-point afternoon.
- Okken, who has a career-high four goals this season, recorded her first multi-goal game.
- Kusakavitch and van der Hoop each registered their third multi-goal game of the season.
- Donahue assisted on the opening goal and connected with a goal of her on via the penalty stroke.
