WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ – The Monmouth University men's swimming team fell to NJIT in a non-conference a dual meet on Saturday afternoon at Steadman Natatorium.

The Hawks lost by a 135-69 final and claimed first-place finishes in three individual events. Austin D'Angelo placed first in the 100-yard breaststroke and took second in the 200-yard IM behind teammate Noah Babik. Mitch Simmer and Eric Sorensen also took the top two spots in the 100-yard butterfly.

- Babik turned in a time of 2:06.61 and D'Angelo finished the 200 IM in 2:07.56 to secure 13 points for the Hawks.

- Simmer touched the wall in 54.91 with Sorensen right behind him at 55.34 in the 100-yard butterfly.

- D'Angelo's winning time in the 100-yard breaststroke was 2:07.56.
