JERSEY CITY, NJ – The Monmouth University women's swimming team earned its first victory of the season with a decisive win over Saint Peter's as both the men's and women's teams competed on Saturday afternoon at the Yanitelli Center.
The women's team totaled 185.5 points in the 131-point victory over the host Peacocks, but fell to LIU-Brooklyn by a 163-87 final. On the men's side, Saint Peter's topped the Hawks by 66 points.

- Monmouth claimed the top three spots in the men's 50-yard freestyle as sophomore Billy Lyons, junior Michael Lanigan and freshman Frank Nicola finished in that order.

NUMBERS CRUNCH
- Freshman Toniann Feigel's time of 1:07.66 in the women's 100-yard butterfly set a new season-best.
- Lyons' time (23.63) in the 50-yard freestyle was a new personal best for his Monmouth career.
- Austin D'Angelo set a new personal record in the 100-yard breaststroke when he touched the wall in 1:03.07.
