EDISON, NJ – Monmouth University women's soccer junior forward Rachelle Ross (Mount Laurel, NJ / Lenape) has been named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, it was announced Monday.

Ross picked up her second Player of the Week Award in three weeks after being inserted into the starting lineup for Monmouth's 6-0 win over Iona. The junior forward assisted the game's opening goal for Madie Gibson, before scoring herself in the 19th minute to make it 2-0 in favor of the Hawks. Ross increased her point total to 19 on the season with her eighth goal and third assist of the year. Her 50 career points (18 G, 14 A) rank 23rd in Monmouth history.

Monmouth hosts the 2016 MAAC Women's Soccer Tournament this weekend and will play #6 Marist in Friday's semifinal. Kickoff is set for 5 p.m. and the match will be broadcast live on ESPN3 and the WatchESPN App.
