ORLANDO, Fla. - The Monmouth University softball team fell to Ball State, 6-2 on Tuesday. The Hawks drop to 4-6 overall on the season.

Christine Scherr (Nazareth, Pa. /Nazareth Area) led the MU offense, going 2-for-3 with two RBI's. Lauren Sulick (Canfield, Ohio /Canfield) took the loss in the circle, giving up six runs, but only two earned, in five innings. She struck out four and didn't walk a batter.

MU returns to action tomorrow when it takes on Stetson at 4:00 pm.
