WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. — College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced its 2026 Academic All-District honorees for baseball and Monmouth University had two student-athletes represented on the list.

Wyatt Hunt and Colin Richter earned Academic All-District honors for their performances on the field and in the classroom. Hunt advanced to the national ballot and will have a chance to be selected to the Academic All-American teams that will be announced on June 23.
 
Hunt carries a 3.52 GPA as a Business major with a concentration in supply chain. On the field, he was a First Team All-Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) selection after starting all 53 games at second base while hitting .338 with 46 runs scored and 42 RBI. He was Top 10 in the CAA for batting average, hits, doubles and sac bunts. He is also involved in Monmouth's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
 
Richter has a  3.51 GPA as a Business major with a concentration in finance. He started all 53 games in centerfield for the Hawks. He hit .242 with 40 runs scored and 30 RBI.
 
To be eligible for the Academic All-District team, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at his current institution. Student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically. Eligible nominees need to be in the lineup for 90% of the total games played by the team or started 66% of those games. For a pitcher, the student-athletes must have made at least 17 appearances or pitched 35 innings.
 
The 2026 Academic All-District® Baseball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes baseball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
