RICHMOND, Va. – Monmouth senior attacker
Ty Caffarelli was named the CAA Offensive Player of the Week on Monday for the second time in three weeks following his record-breaking performance in the Hawks' 15-7 win over the Wager Seahawks on Feb. 17.
Caffarelli broke his own program record with eight goals and set a new Monmouth single-game record with nine points in the home opener. The previous points mark of eight was held by Connor Macrae (at NJIT; March 11, 2022). Cafarelli used a fast start to aid his historic outing, tallying a double hat trick in the first half and two in the third quarter as the Hawks built a double-digit lead.
The senior leads the conference with 15 goals and 16 points while ranking third nationally with 5.00 goals per contest. He also tops the CAA with a .500 shooting percentage.
The Hawks continue their homestand versus Mount St. Mary's on Saturday, Feb. 28 at 11 a.m. The game will be broadcast live on FloCollege, and tickets can be purchased at
