WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. – Monmouth University softball head coach
Morgan Royer announced the program's 2026 schedule on Friday, featuring a total of 52 games.
The Hawks open the 2026 campaign on Feb. 6 in Spartanburg, S.C., beginning play at a Wofford-hosted tournament. Monmouth will face IU Indy in the season opener before taking on host Wofford, Kent State, and Wofford again to close out the opening weekend.
Following opening weekend, the Hawks will travel to Chapel Hill, N.C., for their second tournament of the season, held Feb. 13–15 at UNC. Monmouth will face Northern Kentucky, Bryant, and North Carolina during the weekend.
Monmouth then heads north to face UMES at UMBC before taking on host UMBC in a series on Feb. 21–22. The Hawks will then travel south to Madeira Beach, Fla., for a multi-day tournament from Feb. 22–29, featuring Albany, Colgate, Bellarmine, UMass, and Bethune-Cookman.
CAA play begins on March 6, as the Hawks open conference action with a three-game series at the College of Charleston. Following several weeks of nonconference competition, Monmouth returns to West Long Branch for its home opener on March 11 against Villanova.
The Hawks will then settle into CAA play, welcoming league opponents including Hofstra and the University of Maine to West Long Branch throughout March and April. Monmouth's conference slate features multiple home series, while also sending the Hawks on the road to face key CAA opponents as the team pushes toward postseason play.
The regular season concludes in early May before the Hawks turn their attention to the CAA Softball Championship.
