WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. – Monmouth field hockey sophomore goalkeeper Charlie Bowman and freshman Florence van Doorn have earned weekly Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) honors, as announced Monday afternoon.

Bowman was named CAA Defensive Player of the Week , while Van Doorn earned CAA Rookie of the Week honors following Monmouth's 4–2 victory over No. 17 Rutgers. Both players were instrumental in securing the win.

Bowman made three saves in the match, while van Doorn anchored a resilient backline that helped lead Monmouth to just its third-ever win over Rutgers—and its first since 2014—snapping a six-game losing streak to the Scarlet Knights.

This marks the second consecutive week a Monmouth player has earned CAA Defensive Player of the Week honors; junior Anna Moors received the award last week. The accolades are the first career CAA weekly honors for both Bowman and van Doorn.
