WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. – Monmouth field hockey junior
Anna Moors has been named the CAA Defensive Player of the Week, the league announced Monday afternoon.
Moors tallied a goal in Monmouth's 4-3 victory over Lehigh and anchored a backline that held strong against two last-second penalty corners from the Mountain Hawks.
The honor marks the first Defensive Player of the Week award of the season for Moors and her second weekly conference recognition this season. She previously earned CAA Offensive Player of the Week on Sept. 1.
Moors and the Hawks return to action Sunday at noon, when they face Big Ten foe Rutgers in Piscataway, N.J.
