Monmouth's Dalton Yeust Takes CAA Lead, Earns Weekly Honor

April 29, 2025

West Long Branch, NJ Monmouth pole vaulter Dalton Yeust keeps the Coastal Athletic Association Men's Field Athlete of the Week award in Hawk hands for second week in a row.

Claiming an honor held by Monmouth long jumper Ahmad Brock last week, Yeust, the reigning CAA Indoor pole vault champion, captured his first weekly award of the spring on Tuesday.

Last time out, Yeust pole vaulted his way to a gold medal in the college elite division at the historic Penn Relays. Clearing 5.10m (16' 8.75"), he set the new standard on the conference's outdoor season leaderboard. The mark boosts Yeust into the NCAA DI East Region Top 55.

Yeust is the third Monmouth field athlete to claim the CAA weekly award this month. Decathlete David Strong earned the spotlight on April 8 following his long jump performance at George Mason's Dalton Ebanks Invitational.

The Hawks return to action on May 2 at Princeton's annual Larry Ellis Invitational.
