WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. — Monmouth field hockey junior
Lauren Relik has been named the CAA Offensive Player of the Week, as announced Monday afternoon.
Relik scored the game-winning goal in overtime to lift No. 13 Monmouth to a 3–2 victory over Drexel on October 10. She has been a standout performer this season, leading the team with 20 points on five goals and 10 assists. Her 10 assists rank seventh in the NCAA and are tied for the seventh-most in a single season in program history.
This marks Relik's first career CAA Offensive Player of the Week honor and the third time this season a Hawk has won the Offensive Player of the Week award. Relik has helped guide Monmouth to the best ranking in program history and a 9-2 overall record while going 2-0 in CAA play to start the season.
Relik and the Hawks will travel to Virginia to face William & Mary on Friday at 4 p.m. Friday's game will be broadcasted on FloCollege.
