Monmouth's Dalton Yeust Claims Second CAA Weekly Award

January 15, 2025

West Long Branch, NJ - Monmouth track & field is 3-for-3 when it comes to earning representation in the Coastal Athletic Association weekly awards program.

After Hawks collected six honors from the season's first two weeks of competition, veteran pole vaulter Dalton Yeust claimed the CAA Men's Track Athlete of the Week award once again on Tuesday.

Yeust, who also took the honor back on December 17, reclaimed the spotlight on the heels of his performance at the Penn Select. Improving upon his league-leading mark, he cleared 5.00m (16' 4.75") on his first attempt at the height. Yeust finished as the runner-up to Penn's national Top 20 occupant Benedikt Sachta.

Last month, Monmouth swept all four CAA weekly awards following its final competition prior to the holiday break. After the season-opening weekend, two Hawks were honored. Yeust joins women's hurdler Yasmeen Tinsley as a repeat CAA weekly award winner. Tinsley was the CAA Women's Track Athlete of the Week back on December 10 & 17.

Monmouth returns to Philadelphia for the two-day Quaker Invitational on January 17.
