WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. – Two freshmen student-athletes from the Monmouth University Field Hockey team have earned Costal Athletic Association (CAA) weekly honors, the league announced Monday afternoon.

Tallying the best single-game point total of her young career, Milla Frye had an impressive performance against Hofstra on Friday. Just seven minutes into the contest, the newest CAA Offensive Player of the Week opened the scoring for her third tally of the season. Recording an assist on the Hawks' fifth of the afternoon, it was Frye who rounded out the scoring, notching her fifth point of the game and setting a new career record.

Lilly Ricks tallied her first two career goals this past week, helping Monmouth earn two victories and outscore their opponents 8-0. Scoring the sixth in the Hawks' 7-0 win over Hofstra, Ricks continued her hot streak in front of goal by recording the lone tally in a 1-0 victory over Columbia to help earn her CAA Co-Rookie of the Week honors.
 
Frye, Ricks and the Hawks (6-1, 1-0 CAA) continue their season at Drexel on Friday, September 27. The game will be broadcast live on FloSports at 4 p.m.
