WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. – Head Coach
Carli Figlio of the Monmouth University Field Hockey team has announced the program's 2024 recruiting class.
Seven freshmen make their way to West Long Branch from the United States and abroad. The incoming class consists of four international student-athletes in addition to a pair from neighboring Pennsylvania and another addition from Virginia.
Keely Bowers
Midfield/Forward | Freshman | Palmyra, Pa. | Palmyra High School
Before Monmouth: Four-year letterwinner and at Palmyra High School under head coach Kent Harshman … Also competed for the Alley Cats club team under head coach Tami Scola … 43 goals and 35 assists during her career at Palmyra … Mid Penn Conference Keystone Division First Team All-Star and Co-Player of the Year as a senior after being a Second-Team honoree as a junior … NFHCA Third Team All-American and All-Region Pennsylvania as a senior … Several more All-Star and First Team honors on both the high and club scene, as well as a Pennsylvania Class 2A Second Team All-State honor as a junior … Senior co-captain … Helped lead her team to three district championships and one state title in three finals appearances … Also competed in basketball where she was both an All-Conference Honorable Mention and Mid Penn Keystone Division All-Star Team Honorable Mention as a junior … Distinguished or normal honor roll in all four years of high school … Two-time NFHCA All-Academic Squad.

Charlie Bowman

Before Monmouth: Top goalkeeper for Ireland U16 and U18 Teams at the Eight Nations Tournament and European Championships held in Germany, respectively … Member of the Ulster U16 squad in 2020-21 and U18 team in 2022-23 … Also competed for Team Ireland U16 and U18 squads in back-to-back years (2021, 2022) … Competed for the Irish U18 team again in the summer of 2024 … Helped lead her Ulster U16 team to a championship in the 2022 Inter-Provisional Tournament … Also competed in dance, netball, and football … U15 Northern Ireland Netball Team member in 2019, County Down Select Football Team member in 2018-19, and IFDC Adult winner in 2023.

Before Monmouth: Four-year letterwinner under head coach Rebecca Maciejewski at Honesdale High School … Honesdale's all-time leading scorer with 78 goals and 44 assists for 200 career points … Also contributed eight defensive saves … All-State Team Honorable Mention and was placed on the Max Field Hockey Top 100 Class of 2024 Watch List as a freshman … First Team All-State as a junior after making Second Team as a sophomore … Twice a district champion (2020, 2022) including a PIAA AAA Quarterfinals appearance in 2022 … Also played basketball … National Honor Society member and honor roll recipient … 2022 All-State Academic Team.
