RICHMOND, VA – Monmouth University men's tennis student-athletes Gabriel Busato and Diego Laporta have been recognized as the CAA Men's Tennis Doubles Team of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday.

The pairing went 2-0 this week in doubles action, winning 6-0 at No. 3 doubles in Monmouth's 4-2 victory over Bryant. The duo moved up to No. 2 doubles to close the week and earned a narrow 7-6 (7-5) victory as Monmouth swept Fordham, 7-0. In singles, Busato was 1-1, while Laporta went 1-0 on the week.

As a team, Monmouth moved up to No. 69 in the latest ITA National Team Rankings.

The Hawks will host LIU on Friday afternoon for a 2 p.m. match at the MU Outdoor Tennis Complex.
