Three Hawks Earn All-ECAC Accolades

WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ – A trio of Monmouth University women's soccer players were honored as the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) announced its end of the year awards.
 
Graduate defender Lauren Bruno and sophomore midfielder Liza Suydam were named First Team All-ECAC. Junior forward Summer Reimet took home Second Team All-ECAC accolades. Bruno and Suydam were honored for the second time in their careers.
 
Bruno wrapped up her Monmouth career with a strong fall. She was honored for the second straight season as the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) Defensive Player of the Year. It is the 11th time in program history that Monmouth had a Defensive Player of the Year. 
 
She started all 20 matches while captaining a Monmouth backline that posted a CAA-best nine shutouts and held 14 of 20 opponents to one goal or less. Bruno pushed up into the midfield and took most of the free kicks for the Hawks. She had a career-high four assists this season.
 
Suydam was named the CAA Co-Midfielder of the Year. She was honored for the second straight season after being the rookie of the year last season. Suydam started all 20 matches and ranked second on the team with 22 points on nine goals and four assists. 
 
She had two game-winning goals and twice was named the CAA Offensive Player of the Week. She was tied for fourth in the CAA in goals per game and sixth in points per game. 
 
Reimet became Monmouth's 11th Offensive Player of the Year in program history and first since Lauren Karabin in 2020-21. Reimet was honored by the conference office for the second time in her career after earning a spot on the All-Rookie Team in 2022. She started all 20 games with a career-high 33 points on 14 goals with five assists. 
 
Reimet led the CAA in goals (14), game-winning goals (5) and points (33). She has a season-high two goals in a game three times.
