WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ – Graduate defender Michael Quigg was named a Preseason All-CAA Honorable Mention as Monmouth University Men's Lacrosse was selected to finish seventh in the league's preseason poll, conference officials announced Tuesday.
 
Quigg is a Preseason All-CAA Honorable Mention for the second year in a row, and comes off a 2023 season in which he started every game for the Blue and White, leading the Hawks with 17 causedturnovers, a number that ranks seventh in a single-season in program history. He was the CAA Defensive Player of the Week on February 27, and returns to anchor the Hawks defensive unit this season.
 
Delaware was chosen as the league's favorite, with Stony Brook also earning two first-place votes. Towson was third, followed by Drexel and Hofstra, with Monmouth in seventh just six votes behind Fairfield. Hampton was picked eighth.
