Nick Teets scored a career-high for goals, but Monmouth University Men's Lacrosse was defeated in the season finale at Fairfield University Saturday, 14-8.
MU rallied with two goals in under a minute to close out the first quarter, tying the game at three. Fairfield then tallied the next seven straight to take a 10-3 lead, but MU put in three consecutive to cut it to 10-6 early in the fourth. The Stags netted four of the next five to lead 14-7, and Caffarelli's goal with three seconds to go tied the program record for single-season goals.
