April 30, 2025

West Long Branch, NJ – Monmouth University Men's Lacrosse had four players named to All-CAA teams, the conference announced Wednesday. Gabe Bowen-Slott and Tommy Heller were chosen to the First Team, while Ty Caffarelli and Sean Ketchen were Second Team recipients.

Bowen-Slott was a First Team choice for the second year in a row, leading Monmouth with 19 caused turnovers and grabbing 15 ground balls. A key contributor on the defensive end, Bowen-Slott is the sixth Hawk in program history to earn multiple conference first team honors. He was fourth in the CAA in caused turnovers per game, and third in the league in total caused turnovers.

Heller finished third in the league in saves and fourth in save percentage this season, stopping 160 shots and starting every game, earning five wins. He is the fourth goalkeeper in program history to earn first team accolades, and had seven games this season with double-digit stops.

Caffarelli tied the program single-season record for goals scored with 34, and had nine games with multiple goals. He had two five-goal games to match a career best, and seven with three or more this year. He ranked fourth in the CAA in goals scored.

Ketchen finished third on the Hawks in both goals with 19 and points with 28, playing in all 14 contests. He netted the game-winning goal in double overtime against Delaware, and scored in the final six games of the season.
