JERSEY CITY, NJ – The Monmouth University men's and women's swimming teams each earned convincing victories over Saint Peter's in a dual meet on Saturday afternoon at Yanitelli Center. Five different Hawks earned multiple wins to lead Monmouth's efforts.
The women's team won their fourth-straight dual meet overall with a 165-63 victory, while the men's team claimed their third-straight win by a 175-83.
Edie Ancell, Kristen Gullickson, Isabella Aguanno, Owen Dyson and Cole Dyson each contributed two individual victories.
MEET NOTES
- The women's 400-yard medley relay started the meet with a winning time of 4:10.81. Jenna Pryne, Isabella Aguanno, Jensen Ritter, and Edie Ancell combined for the win.
- The men's 400-yard medley relay finished first with a time of 3:31.63. Owen Dyson, Andrew Denman-Grimm, Blake Reynolds, and Thomas Svane-From earned the victory.
-Edie Ancell hit the wall first in the 50-yard freestyle (25.62) and the 100-yard freestyle (56.06). Ancell has five career wins and three this season.
- Kristen Gullickson also won a pair of races, giving her five this year. Gullickson paced the field in the 200-yard freestyle (1:59.67) and 500-yard freestyle (5:23.43).
- Owen Dyson took the top spot in both backstroke events. Dyson won the 100-yard backstroke (52.55) and 200-yard backstroke (1:57.08). He won his sixth event of the year and now has seven career wins.
- Ziv Cohen earned his seventh win of the season when he took first in the 1000-yard freestyle (9:42.83).
- Jensen Ritter took the top spot in the 1000-yard freestyle with her time of 10:53.42. It was Ritter's ninth win of the season and the 19th of her career.
- Cole Dyson won the 200-yard freestyle in 1:46.23 and the 500-yard freestyle in 4:45.40. Dyson has four individual wins this season and 24 in his career.
- Kacper Sobieszuk won the 100-yard butterfly in 51.86. It was the fourth win in his freshman season.
- Sophomore Isabella Aguanno now has seven individual wins this season after taking first in the 100-yard (1:11.32) and 200-yard breaststroke (2:32.66).
- Blake Reynolds won the 50 free in 21.45 and Thomas Svane-From won the 100 free in 46.89. Reynolds now has seven wins this season and 39 in his career. Svane-From's win was his second this season and 13th of his career.
- Bailey Rynkiewicz won her first individual race of the year with a time of 2:17.75 in the 200-yard butterfly.
- Jenna Pryne won the 200-yard backstroke in 2:12.25 to secure her sixth win of the season and the eighth of her career.
- Connor Currie finished first in the 200-yard butterfly (1:57.87). It was Currie's first win of the year and the fifth of his career.
-Anastasia Vasilakis won the first race of her career when she finished first in the 100-yard backstroke (1:02.77).
- Monmouth won the 200-yard freestyle relay as Owen Dyson, Thomas Svane-From, Evan Belmont, and Cole Dyson finished in 1:27.22.
