Mosner Named CAA Rookie Swimmer of the Month

February 04, 2025

RICHMOND, VA – After finishing first in each of her individual events, Monmouth University freshman swimmer Emilie Mosner was named the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) Rookie Swimmer of the Month for January.

Mosner, who was named the CAA Swimmer of the Week in December, is the first Hawk to earn CAA Rookie Swimmer of the Month honors.

Mosner had four individual wins, and two top two relay finishes while helping the Hawks win both of their meets in January and run their win streak to five straight contests.

Against St. Peter's Mosner swam the second leg of the 200-medley relay and helped the Hawks win the event in a time of 1:51.40. She captured the 100 breaststroke in a time of 1:05.58. Mosner also won the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:21.57.

In the CAA battle with Stony Brook, Mosner won the 200 IM with a time of 2:12.33, which was a personal beat. She captured the 100 breaststrokes in a time of 1:04.44, which was just about second off her school record in that event. Mosner also helped the 400-medley relay team finish second in a time of 4:27.01.

Mosner and the Hawks are back in action when they host Drexel on Saturday, Feb. 8 at 12 p.m. The Hawks will honor their seniors prior to the start of the meet (starting at 11:45 am).
