WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. - College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced its 2023-24 Academic All-District honorees for swimming on Tuesday afternoon and Monmouth had eight student-athletes represented on the lists.
Eight total swimming student-athletes were recognized by the organization following their respective seasons. Edie Ancell, Alexa Houseknecht, Hannah Parker and Maggie Young from the women's team were recognized, while Connor Currie, Owen Dyson, Gavin Loughlin and Thomas Svane-From collected the awards on the men's side.
To be eligible for the Academic All-District team, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at his/her current institution.
The 2023‐24 Academic All‐District® Swimming & Diving Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student‐athletes for their combined performances in the pool and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All‐America® program separately recognizes swimming and diving honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. Academic All‐District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All‐America® ballot. First‐, second and third‐team Academic All‐ America® honorees will be announced in late April.
