RICHMOND, VA – The Monmouth University men's and women's swimming teams were honored by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) when the organization announced its Scholar All-America Teams for the Spring 2023 semester.
The award celebrates teams that achieve a grade point average of 3.0 or higher during the past semester. Monmouth's women's swimming team has now earned the award in 11 consecutive semesters, while the men have been recognized in each of the past nine semesters.
"The Academic All-America Team recognition is always an important goal for our program," head coach
Matt Nunnally said. "I am proud of the consistent effort our student-athletes put forth in the classroom and we will continue to maintain this success in the future."
The women's team combined to accumulate a grade-point average of 3.58, while the men earned a 3.47 GPA.
Founded in 1922, the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) – the first organization of college coaches in America – is a professional organization of college swimming and diving coaches dedicated to serving and providing leadership for the advancement of the sport of swimming & diving at the collegiate level.
