Box Score STONY BROOK, NY – Monmouth University Baseball dropped the middle game of a three-game weekend CAA series at Stony Brook Saturday, 8-3. Eric Sabato led MU with two hits, while the Hawks bullpen threw 4.2 scoreless frames.
 
MU jumped to a 1-0 lead in the second when a walk, single and sacrifice bunt led to an Andrew Schmid sacrifice fly. However, the Seawolves would score the next eight, including four in the second and three in the fourth to take the lead. Monmouth plated two in the seventh on a Will Trochiano two-run single, but Stony Brook ultimately won by that same 8-3 margin.
 
NOTES
 
-The MU bullpen tossed 4.2 shutout innings, led by 3.2 from Alex Barker.
-Eric Sabato notched his 16^th multi-hit game this season.
-Andrew Schmid drove in a run for the second game in a row on the weekend.
