RICHMOND, Va. – Redshirt sophomore
Dalton Yeust was named the 2023 CAA men's Field Athlete of the Year, the league announced Thursday.

Yeust takes home the honors after being winning the conference's weekly award three times during the season. He broke the school record in the pole vault on three separate occasions, including a mark of 5.10m at the CAA Championships, in which he won gold. The redshirt sophomore was the only student-athlete in the CAA to break the 5.00m mark and finished the indoor season as the leader by 0.45m.
Several other Hawks were named to the All-CAA Team for finishing in the top three in their respective events at the conference's Indoor Championships.
Louis DiLaurenzio won gold in the men's mile with a time of 4:06.15. Luke Hitchcock,
Stone Caraccio,
Luke Riley, and
James Martinez helped Monmouth place second in the men's 4x800m relay with a time of 7:37.99, while Daniel Fenton,
Jalen Jones,
Kevin Collura, and
Jordan Ricketts posted a time of 3:15.21 and won silver in the 4x400m relay. Martinez, Collura, Riley, and Ryan Tarapchak won silver in the men's DMR at 10:04.98.
Keven Kevelier,
Blake Wehr, and
Rickie Casazza swept the podium for men's high jump, all finishing at 2.00m.
Ahmad Brock and Kevelier, who was named the meet's Most Outstanding Field Performer, took gold and bronze in the triple jump with marks of 14.33m and 13.93, respectively.
Connor Bennett won silver in the pole vault (17.72m),
Mujeeb Ali won silver in the weight throw (17.72m), and
David Strong took bronze in the heptathlon (4,630 points).
Ashley Navarro was the lone member of the women's team to be given All-CAA honors, winning gold in the 800m (2:11.04) and silver in the women's mile (4:56.57).
