YEUST WINS FIELD POTW FOR THIRD TIME THIS SEASON

WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ – Monmouth University track and field's Dalton Yeust has been named the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Field Performer of the Week, the league announced Tuesday.

Yeust broke his own school record in the pole vault with a clearance of 4.95m (16' 2.75") this weekend at the Garden State Track Club Invitational in Staten Island, NY. The redshirt sophomore previously held the Monmouth record at 4.92m, a mark he set at the Monmouth Winter Classic on January 29.

This marks the third time this season Yeust has brought home the conference's weekly award. He has accounted for three of the four weeks a Hawk has been named Field Performer of the Week. He currently sits atop the CAA by 0.35m.
 
The Hawks are competing at the inaugural CAA Indoor Track and Field Championships in Virginia Beach, VA this week. The two-day meet runs from Wednesday, February 22 through Thursday, February 23. Yeust will compete in the men's pole vault championship at approximately 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
