HAWKS BEAT TEMPLE IN OVERTIME THRILLER, 1-0

FINAL SCORE (OT)
Monmouth 1 (7-3)
Temple 0 (6-5)

WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ – Junior forward Sofia Fouces scored 6:30 into overtime to secure a 1-0 win for the Monmouth University Field Hockey Team over Temple on Sunday afternoon at So Sweet A Cat Field.

The Parana, Argentina native's CAA-leading sixth game-winning goal was sparked by a beautifully placed pass from freshman Lauren Relik from midfield to the circle. It was Relik's first career assist and puts her at seven points – her season total – over her last two contests.

Chances went back and forth for the entire 66:30, and freshman goalkeeper Jessie Eiselin shined with a new career-high 15 saves to keep the Owls off the board. Eiselin has now recorded her first three career shutouts in her last four games, winning all four and allowing just one total goal.

The Hawks have won five games in a row dating back to September 11.
