WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ – Monmouth University head swimming coach
Matt Nunnally has announced the program's 2022-23 schedule as the Hawks prepare for their first season of competition in the CAA.
"We are looking forward to starting another successful season as we transition our program into the Colonial Athletic Association," Nunnally said. "Our schedule features a number of regional opponents as well as the ECAC Championships, which will ultimately prepare us for our first CAA Championships in late February."
Monmouth's season begins on the road against a familiar opponent in Fairfield on October 15. The home opener is set for October 21 when the Hawks host Fordham. Seton Hall (Oct. 28) and Manhattan (Nov. 11) come to Steadman Natatorium surrounding a road trip to Iona (Nov. 5) prior to the ECAC Winter Championships in East Meadow, NY on Dec. 2.
Following winter training, the Spring semester begins on January 14 with a trip to Stony Brook, NY where the men will race NJIT and the women will earn their first CAA test against Stony Brook. Monmouth will host Saint Peter's for Senior Day on January 21 before closing out the regular season at La Salle on February 4.
The 2023 CAA Championships will be held in Hampton, VA from February 22-25 at the Hampton Aquaplex.
