EDISON, NJ – Monmouth University men's tennis sophomore Dmitry Bezborodov has been named the MAAC Men's Tennis Player of the Week, the league office announced Wednesday.

Bezborodov went 3-0 overall with a pair of straight set singles victories and a doubles win. The wins came at the No. 2 position as Monmouth defeated Drexel (7-0) and Villanova (7-0) over the weekend. Monmouth improved to 5-0 in dual meets and extended its regular season winning streak to 15 straight matches.

Monmouth resumes competition on Friday afternoon when it travels to Newark, NJ for a matchup with NJIT at 4 p.m.
