EDISON, NJ – Monmouth University men's track and field senior student-athlete Chris Putnam (Massapequa, NY/ Massapequa) has been named the MAAC Men's Outdoor Performer of the Week for his performance at Army in West Point on March 20^th. Putnam registered a 64.68-meter javelin throw and placed third in the competition this past Saturday.
 
Putnam is ranked seventh in the East region in the javelin throw and this is his first MAAC Field Performer of the Week award of the season.
 
Putnam and the Hawks are on the road this weekend as they travel to Easton, PA to compete in the 2021 Lafayette Open. Events start at 10:30 AM on Saturday, March 27.
