BOGLIOLI NAMED TO 100 GREATEST SWIMMERS & DIVERS LIST


COLORADO SPRINGS, CO - The College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America's (CSCAA) announced its centennial list of 100 Greatest Women's Swimmers & Divers on Tuesday morning.   

Monmouth Athletics Hall of Famer Wendy Boglioli represented Monmouth women's swimming on the list. Boglioli was one of 87 swimmers selected to the team from a list of 973 nominees.   

Boglioli attended Monmouth from 1973-76 and is one of the most decorated athletes in Monmouth Athletics history. She was the American Record Holder in the 100-meter butterfly, the 100-meter freestyle and 100-meter butterfly in 1976, 1977 and 1978.  At the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal, Boglioli received a gold medal in the 4x100 freestyle relay, which set the World and Olympic Records, and a bronze medal in the 100-meter butterfly.

Boglioli was inducted in the Monmouth University Athletics Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2007. 

Founded in 1922, the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), is the nation's first organization of college coaches. The mission of the CSCAA is to advance the sport of swimming and diving with coaches at the epicenter of leadership, advocacy, and professional development.  

The CSCAA's 100th birthday celebration will continue with upcoming announcements recognizing Centennial MVP's for each team along with a listing of the 100 Greatest Coaches, 100 Alumni of Impact. The anniversary will culminate with the Association's convention and awards banquet, May 2-4, 2022 in Rosemont, Illinois.
