COLORADO SPRINGS, CO - The Monmouth University women's swimming team was honored by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) when the organization revealed its Scholar All-America Teams for the Fall 2020 semester.
The award celebrates teams that achieve a grade point average of 3.0 or higher during the past semester. Monmouth's women's swimming team has now earned the award in six consecutive semesters.
"Earning this Academic All-America Team recognition is always a goal for our program," head coach
Matt Nunnally said. "I am proud of the continued hard work by both our men's and women's teams and they deserve to be recognized for their academic performances."
The women's team combined to accumulate a grade-point average of 3.68, and was one of nine Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference teams to be recognized. At the Division I level, the Hawks were one of 183 women's swimming teams to receive the honor.
Founded in 1922, the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) – the first organization of college coaches in America – is a professional organization of college swimming and diving coaches dedicated to serving and providing leadership for the advancement of the sport of swimming & diving at the collegiate level.
