BOSTON, MA-Â Monmouth University's men's and women's indoor track & field teams wrapped up day one of the IC4A/ECAC Division I Indoor Track & Field Championships with four players earning All-East status.

While the first day was dominated mainly by trials for tomorrow's finals, a number of field events were decided on Saturday including the high jump, long jump, weight throw and women's pole vault.

Dorian Jackson took bronze in the long jump with a 7.01m jump while
Rickie Casazza cleared 1.95 in the high jump earning him All-East honors with an eighth place finish. Montell Johnson's sixth place weight throw of 18.40 also earned the junior All-East honors while
Chibuzo Amonu picked up All-East honors with her seventh place throw with a toss of 17.93.

- Sophomore James Hoffman ran a PR of 4:09.85 in the mile which was the fifth overall time at Monmouth while qualifying him for tomorrow's finals
- The men finished day one in eighth place
- Monmouth's women's team was tied for 19th heading into Sunday

- Junior Nina Baltus recorded a PR with a time of 2:12.43 in the women's 800m
- Ian Moore was ninth in the 1000m with a time of 2:27.58
- Freshman Sammi Ragenklint ran a time of 17:14.63 in the 5000m, a new Monmouth freshman record
