MALIBU, CA – Senior Max Benaim (London, England/University College School) of the Monmouth University men's tennis team will compete in the Oracle Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Masters this weekend. The event will run from Thursday, September 26, to Sunday, September 29 at Pepperdine University and the Malibu Racquet Club.
 
Last season, Benaim was named to the All-MAAC First Team at both No. 3 singles and No. 2 doubles. He went 21-2 overall in singles play, including a perfect 10-0 from the three spot, 4-0 from the two spot, and 1-0 from the one spot. In conference play, Benaim went a perfect 6-0 in singles, and ended the season on an 18-game winning streak.
 
Each NCAA Division I conference has the opportunity for one entry into the
singles draw per gender. The spot is offered to the top returning player from that conference.
 
Singles matches will play best two out of three sets, each set to six games, with a tiebreak at 6-all. A first match loser consolation draw will be held so everyone is guaranteed two singles matches. Men will utilize the no-let rule. The singles draw will be seeded from 1-32, according to UTR.
 
Live scoring will be available for all matches through Tennis Ticker, while live streaming for select matches at Malibu Racquet Club will be provided by TempuZ.
