WOMEN'S SWIMMING EARNS SPRING CSCAA ACADEMIC AWARD

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO - The Monmouth University women's swimming team was recognized by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) when the organization announced its Scholar All-America Teams for the Spring 2019 semester.

The award celebrates teams that achieved a grade point average of 3.0 or higher during the past semester. Monmouth's women's swimming team has earned the award in seven out of the past eight semesters.

"Being recognized as an Academic All-America Team is a goal that our program strives to achieve each semester," head coach Matt Nunnally said. "I proud of their hard work and excited to see both programs recognized by the CSCAA for their efforts in the classroom."

The women's team combined to accumulate a grade point average of 3.26 and was one of nine Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference teams to be recognized. At the Division I level, the Hawks were one of 283 women's swimming teams to receive the honor.

Founded in 1922, the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) – the first organization of college coaches in America – is a professional organization of college swimming and diving coaches dedicated to serving and providing leadership for the advancement of the sport of swimming & diving at the collegiate level.
